What the MW4 launch guide confirms
Call of Duty’s launch progression table lists Weapon Insurance Contracts among the contents of the Advanced SERE Kit at DMZ level 70. The progression table gives the kit contents. Use the in-game item description for activation, eligibility, and coverage before risking a weapon.
The separately documented insured-slot cooldown belongs to Modern Warfare II DMZ. When checking a weapon recovery guide, confirm the title and mode match Modern Warfare 4 DMZ in Hajin.
Rebuild through the Stash or Gunsmith
The official FOB guide describes a one-time free use for owned weapon Blueprints in DMZ. If you lose that deployed copy, the guide lists buying another copy with DMZ Cash at a discount relative to building the weapon. Check the current cost in Gunsmith before deploying with another copy.
The Stash keeps gear left at the FOB. A weapon from the Stash or the Ready Up Free Loadout lets you redeploy while you save cash for a replacement build. If the lost weapon is one you want to build from scratch, use an extracted Weapon Manual to unlock its base purchase in Gunsmith.
Get ready for the next deployment
Suggested recovery sequence: check whether your Operator is MIA, use another available Operator or recover the first at the FOB, then equip a complete low-cost kit. A recovered Operator keeps their Traits and needs to be re-equipped.
Make your next goal a successful extraction with supplies. Store a spare weapon and basic gear when you return, then decide whether the upcoming objective justifies spending more on your primary weapon.
